MHT‑CET
MHT‑CET decides admission to most engineering, pharmacy and agriculture colleges in Maharashtra, including COEP, VJTI and ICT Mumbai. Preparation is part of the JEE and NEET programmes, not a separate course.
CET preparation within JEE and NEET
A student preparing for JEE or NEET already knows most of what MHT‑CET asks. CET is mainly a test of speed: 150 questions (PCM) or 200 questions (PCB) in three hours, mostly direct, with no negative marking. Students must answer straightforward questions quickly and correctly.
Every student is prepared for MHT‑CET as a second route to college admission. The concepts come from the main programme. In the final months, students move to CET-pattern practice papers and timed mocks in the computer-based format.

Can a student prepare only for MHT‑CET?
Yes, although we usually advise preparing for JEE or NEET as well, since the concepts are the same and it widens the choice of colleges. Speak to our counsellors if CET is your only target.
My child is in a CBSE school. Does MHT‑CET follow the State Board syllabus?
Yes, but the overlap with NCERT is large. The few State Board topics that CBSE students may not have seen are covered in class.
Which colleges use MHT‑CET scores?
Most government and private engineering, pharmacy and agriculture colleges in Maharashtra, including COEP, VJTI and ICT Mumbai, through the state's centralised admission process.
