About IIT Medico Guide
What is IIT Medico Guide?
An institute for Class 11 and 12 students preparing for JEE, NEET and MHT‑CET, run in collaboration with Ashoka Group of Schools, Nashik. Junior college and coaching share one timetable on one campus, and there is a mess and hostel for students from outside Nashik.
What makes you different from other coaching classes?
We keep batches to 40, and the same IITian, NITian and doctor teachers stay for both years. Students have an 11-hour supervised study day with about five hours of daily doubt and self-study time, get printed material, and do not carry mobile phones. The comparison page sets it out side by side.
Where are the classes held?
On two Ashoka Group of Schools campuses in Nashik: the 3rd and 4th floors of Ashoka Universal School, Ashoka Marg, Nashik 422006 (directions), and the Arjun Nagar campus, Off Gangapur Road, Chandsi, Nashik 422013 (directions).
Are classes online?
The Class 11 and 12 programmes are fully offline, on campus. Only the free Class 10 Foundation course is online.
Admissions
Which boards are available for Class 11 and 12?
ISC (Indian School Certificate), HSC (Maharashtra State Board) and CBSE.
Which classes do you take admissions for?
Class 11 Science for 2027‑28, for JEE, NEET and MHT‑CET. Class 12 admission is possible only if a seat is free in a batch.
Is there an entrance test?
There is no pass-or-fail test. We talk with every student before admission to understand their level and goals.
Do you give scholarships?
Ask about scholarships during counselling; the office will tell you what is available this year.
Can we visit before deciding?
Please do. Visits run from 9 am to 6 pm; choose a day and time here or call us. Bring your child to see the classrooms, hostel and mess and to meet the teachers.
Teaching and the daily routine
How many students are in a batch?
A maximum of 40.
Who are the teachers?
IITians, NITians and doctors, led by our co-founders Harshit Dixit Sir (Chemistry, IIT-ISM Dhanbad), Ramesh Yadav Sir (Maths, IIT Delhi) and Dr. Parag Kasliwal (Biology, MD). The same teachers stay with a batch for both years. See the faculty page.
What are the timings?
Students reach campus at 7:45 am and leave at 7:30 pm. The full hour-by-hour routine is on the daily routine page.
How often are tests held?
Regular chapter tests and full-length mocks on the JEE, NEET and CET pattern, with analysis for every student. Parents receive the marks.
What if my child misses a class?
The teacher and mentor will know the same day, since every batch has 40 students and a fixed teacher. Missed topics are covered in the self-study and doubt hours. Parents are informed about absences.
How is study material given?
In print: notes, DPPs, question banks and test papers prepared by our faculty. Nothing requires a phone.
Phones, hostel and safety
Why are phones not allowed?
A phone costs a 16-year-old more study hours than any other single distraction. Everything a student needs is given in print, so a phone serves no study purpose on campus.
How do hostel students contact their parents?
Through the hostel office at fixed times. Parents can call the warden at any time.
How many seats are there in the hostel?
300, shared across Class 11 and 12. Seats are allotted in the order admissions are confirmed. See the hostel page.
How safe is the campus for girls?
The campus is secured and supervised, with strict vigilance through the day and additional safety arrangements for girl students, in both the campus and the hostel.
Free Class 10 Foundation
Who can join the free Foundation course?
Any student in Class 10 in 2026‑27, from any board and any district.
Is the course free of charge?
Yes. There is no fee or registration charge, and no obligation to take admission with us for Class 11.
When are the classes?
Live online, Monday to Friday, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, with a test every Saturday. Details and registration.
