The 11-hour study system

College, coaching and self-study run on one timetable, from 7:45 am to 7:30 pm, with a teacher close by for every hour of the day.

Lectures in the morning, practice after lunch

Four lectures run back to back in the morning, when students are freshest. The last of them is a question-solving lecture, where the teacher works through problems on the morning's topics with the class.

After lunch come two blocks of targeted self-study, split by an hour of sports and recreation. Each student works on a set task: the day's DPP (daily practice problems), revision for the next test, or corrections from the last one. A teacher is on the floor for when they get stuck.

The self-study and doubt blocks add up to about five hours a day. Most coaching classes give four or five hours of lectures and leave the student to manage the rest at home, which is where most students fall behind.

No mobile phones

Phones are not allowed on campus or in the hostel, and parents thank us for this rule more than any other. All notes, DPPs and test papers are given in print.

Fixed teachers

The same teachers for the full course, a promise no other institute in Nashik makes. A teacher who has known your child since the first week of Class 11 notices a drop in confidence long before a test result shows it.

Batches of 40

With at most 40 students in a batch, every student is asked questions in class and every answer sheet is checked.

Tests, mentoring and student care

Periodic tests

Chapter tests and full-length mocks on the exact JEE, NEET and CET pattern, with a detailed analysis for every student. Parents receive the marks.

Mentorship

Regular one-to-one mentorship sessions to set targets, go through test analysis and adjust the study plan before small problems become big ones.

Study material

Printed notes, DPPs and question banks for every chapter, prepared by the faculty who teach it.

Counselling and medical support

Career counselling, psychological support and medical support. Two years of preparation is a long time, and students need adults they can talk to.

Motivation and resilience

Motivational lectures, resilience training and stress-buster sessions, especially in the weeks before the main exams. Recent guest: Dr. Ravinder Singal, IPS.

Recreation

Meditation, sports and field trips, with an hour of recreation every day of the week.

Length of the day

Almost every parent asks whether 11 hours is too much for a 16-year-old. A typical Nashik student who attends college in the morning and a coaching class in the evening already spends 10 to 12 hours a day on studies, plus an hour or more on the road. Much of that time is unsupervised and unplanned, often with a phone nearby.

Our day is the same length, but the self-study is planned and there is an hour for sports in the middle. By the end of the first month, most students say they have more free time in the evening than before.
