Your IMGSAT rank decides your scholarship for our Class 11 and 12 JEE, NEET and MHT‑CET programme. The test is held at our Nashik campus on Ashoka Marg, and any Class 10 student can take it, whatever the board.

The test at a glance
Paper pattern
There are two papers of the same length: Engineering for students leaning towards JEE, and Medical for NEET. Both have Physics, Chemistry and Mental Ability. The Engineering paper adds Maths and the Medical paper adds Biology.

Every question carries 2 marks. There is no negative marking, so attempt all 40.
Syllabus
Questions come from Class 9 and the first part of Class 10, using the chapters below. CBSE, ICSE and State Board students study the same topics, so no board has an advantage.
Physics
Light: reflection and refraction; the human eye and the colourful world; electricity.
Chemistry
Chemical reactions and equations; acids, bases and salts; metals and non-metals.
Mathematics (Engineering paper)
Real numbers, polynomials, pair of linear equations, quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, coordinate geometry, triangles, introduction to trigonometry and its applications.
Biology (Medical paper)
Life processes; control and coordination; how do organisms reproduce?
Mental Ability
Series, analogies, coding and decoding, and other reasoning questions. Practice is the only preparation needed.
Class 9 basics
Motion, force, atoms and molecules, cells and tissues, number systems and the rest of the Class 9 science and maths that Class 10 builds on.

How to register
Fill in the form
Student and parent details, the paper, and your school. It takes about two minutes.
Pick your slot
Choose a Saturday or Sunday and a 2-hour slot between 9 am and 5 pm. Our office calls to confirm it.
Write the test
Come to Ashoka Universal School, Ashoka Marg, write the 60-minute paper, and then get your result, score report and counselling.

Is there a fee for IMGSAT?
No. Registration and the test are free.
Who can take IMGSAT 2027?
Any student in Class 10 in 2026‑27, from a CBSE, ICSE or State Board school.
Where is the test held?
At our campus: IIT Medico Guide, 3rd & 4th Floor, Ashoka Universal School, Ashoka Marg, Nashik. Get directions.
When is the exam?
Every Saturday and Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm, in 2-hour slots: 9 to 11 am, 11 am to 1 pm, 1 to 3 pm or 3 to 5 pm. Choose your day and slot in the form, and our office will call to confirm it.
Which paper should my child choose?
The Engineering paper (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Mental Ability) if your child is leaning towards JEE, and the Medical paper (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mental Ability) for NEET. If you are unsure, choose the subject your child is more comfortable with, Maths or Biology.
Is there negative marking?
No. Each of the 40 questions carries 2 marks, and no marks are deducted for wrong answers.
How should my child prepare?
Revise Class 9 science and maths, and the Class 10 chapters listed in the syllabus above. The board exam preparation guide in our Exam Corner is a good place to start.
Do we have to take admission after the test?
No. The result, score report and counselling are yours to keep. Whether your child joins us for Class 11 is your decision.
We live outside Nashik. Can my child take IMGSAT?
Yes, at our Nashik campus. Students from Malegaon, Kalwan, Satana, Chandwad and other towns have studied with us, and students from outside Nashik can stay in our 300-seat hostel for Class 11 and 12.

See the classrooms, hostel and mess, and meet the teachers who will teach your child. Pick a day and a time between 9 am and 6 pm at the Ashoka Marg or Arjun Nagar campus.
